Market access & brand representation · Chile

Sell in Chile without setting up a company in Chile.

Andes Open Market is the Chilean entity that holds your product registrations, imports under its own name and opens the sales channel — under one contract, with one counterpart, in any regulated category.

How it reads on paper
Brand owner
Your company, abroad
Holder of record in Chile
Andes Open Market
Why a local holder
Only an entity established in Chile can hold the registration
Validity
5 years, renewable (cosmetics, ISP)
If you leave
Transferred to you, no exit fee

Illustrative. Holder requirements depend on the product category.

The options

Four common ways into Chile. Each leaves something out.

Route What you get What's left to you
Your own subsidiary Full control Fixed costs, local staff and a year or more before the first sale
Regulatory consultancy The authorization Importing, storage and sales — the consultancy's job ends at the resolution
Traditional importer A buyer for your stock Brand building — and often the registration stays with the importer
Cross-border marketplace Online reach No registration, no local holder, no store shelf
Andes Open Market Registration, import and sales channel under one contract Your decision to stay: the registration can leave with you

Services and how they are billed

One required layer. Two you choose.

You buy only what you need. Each layer is priced on its own, so you can see what every part of market entry costs before you commit.

Required

Access

Legal holder and compliance

  • Holder of record before the Chilean authority, where the category requires it
  • Technical dossier per SKU and local technical director
  • Spanish labeling to Chilean rules
  • Post-market surveillance and renewals

How it's billed

Onboarding fee per brand, fee per SKU and annual maintenance.

40% when the file opens · 60% when the resolution is issued

Optional

Operations

Import and logistics

  • Customs agent, freight and insurance
  • Import clearance under our name
  • Authorized storage and lot traceability

How it's billed

Fee per shipment or a percentage of CIF value — cost plus a stated margin.

Optional

Commercial

Sales channel and brand

  • Specialty retail, pharmacies, industrial buyers and marketplaces
  • Positioning and point-of-sale support
  • Sell-out data by SKU and channel, shared with you

How it's billed

Commission as your agent, or a distribution margin when we buy stock. Priced back from the shelf price.

The fee schedule for each layer is shared in writing before any commitment.

Ask for the fee schedule

We hold the registration. You keep the way out.

Registrations are filed in our name because Chilean law requires a local holder. If you leave, we transfer them to you or to your new holder, with no exit fee.

A distributor can't offer this — its business depends on keeping your registration. Ours depends on doing the work well, backed by a commercial exclusivity agreement.

How it works

Six phases. Each one closes with something you can verify.

  1. Qualification

We check the fit: category, exclusivity, margin for the Chilean channel and replenishment times.

Closes with fit confirmed by both sides

  2. Agreement

One contract covering the layers you chose, the territory and the exclusivity term.

Closes with signed contract and file opened (first 40%)

  3. Regulatory access

Dossier, labeling and filing with the authority. We report every step; we never promise the authority's timelines.

Closes with resolution issued for each SKU

  4. Import

Shipment, customs and storage, with every cost itemized.

Closes with stock cleared and costed unit by unit

  5. Commercial launch

Channel opening, listings and launch support.

Closes with a customer's first reorder — not just a first sale

  6. Operation and renewal

Replenishment, surveillance and sell-out reporting for the life of the registration.

Closes with renewal started in month 54 of 60

For categories without sanitary registration, such as industrial machinery, phase 2 covers the certifications and technical documents that category requires.

Start with qualification

Categories

Serums or industrial equipment: someone in Chile has to answer for your product.

The legal problem is the same across categories, so the method is too. We add a category only once its regulatory route is mapped.

  • Active

    Industrial machinery and equipment

Commercial and technical representation for European manufacturers, with trade fairs and direct B2B sales.

  • Next

    Cosmetics and personal care

Registration or notification with the ISP, Chile's Public Health Institute. Specialty beauty retail, pharmacies and e-commerce.

  • In study

    Food and beverages

Health authority requirements mapped product by product.

  • In study

    Medical devices

Route and requirements to be confirmed with the authority before we take on a brand.

Who we serve

Built for brands too small for a subsidiary and too serious for the grey market.

Foreign brands and manufacturers

Small and mid-sized companies with no legal presence in Chile — from a first export to brands already selling in several countries.

Trade promotion agencies and chambers

A formal local partner for the companies you bring to Chile.

Chilean retailers and buyers

Registered products with traceable origin and a local counterpart who answers for them.

What we ask of a brand

  • Registration in our name for the term of the contract, transferable when it ends
  • Exclusivity for Chile aligned with the registration term
  • A unit margin that works in the Chilean channel
  • Replenishment within realistic freight times

What we won't promise

  • The authority's timelines
  • Entry into a specific retailer
  • Volumes before there is sell-out data

The first step is a short call to check whether we are a fit.
